North Sound Alliance
Fourth Mondays, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm meeting, Skagit Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, behind the Mount Vernon Post Office. The North Sound Alliance is an emerging organization of diverse religious congregations, unions, education associations, and civic non-profits. It is driven by the belief that these Mediating Institutions must be strong because they are the cornerstones of a vibrant democratic society and hold the key to mending and reweaving the social fabric essential for strong families, healthy communities and a just world order. Two-day leadership training in community organizing offered at least twice a year. For more information, contact Christie Stewart Stein at (360) 424-1999, or Stoney Bird at (360) 428-7929. PPP is a sponsoring member of the North Sound Alliance.
